We have set our discount to zero, why does a discount code get applied?
You may decide that you don't need to provide a discount along with your replenishment notification, however, you do want to provide the customer with an easy way to preload their cart when nudging them to re-purchase.
Within the app, it's easy to set the discount amount to zero:
We mention in the settings that a discount code will still be created when using the link contained within the re-order notification, but this is only to allow Replenish conversions to be tracked. It will not make any deductions to the transaction totals.
Here you can see how the link from within a re-order-notification will apply the zero based discount code to the Shopify Checkout:
We are looking for better ways to provide conversion tracking so that the discounts do not appear in the checkout for Merchants who do not wish to provide Replenishment discounts, but at this time, it is the best solution we have available.
